How to Choose Your Press-On Nail Size: The MIBLAB In-Store Trial Guide

How to choose your press-on nail size: the complete guide

Size is THE factor that makes the difference between press-on nails that last 14 days and nails that pop off on the first night. Here's how to find your perfect size—in-store or at home.

The golden rule: the nail must cover edge to edge

A well-sized press-on nail covers your natural nail from one edge to the other, without overlapping onto the skin, and without leaving any empty space. If you're hesitant between two sizes: choose the larger one and file the sides.

Method 1: In-store fitting (Geneva or Lausanne)

This is the most reliable method. Come without an appointment to Rue de la Cité 18 (Geneva) or Rue du Grand-Pont 4 (Lausanne):

  • We'll help you find your size for each finger.
  • You'll try on 3–4 pairs to compare the look.
  • You'll leave confident you have the right size.

Method 2: Measure at home

  1. Take a flexible tape measure or a ruler.
  2. Measure the width of your nail at its widest point (in mm).
  3. Refer to the size guide below.

MIBLAB Size Guide (width in mm)

Size Width (mm) Typical Finger
0 8 Pinky
1 9 Pinky
2 10 Ring
3 11 Ring / Middle
4 12 Middle
5 13 Middle / Index
6 14 Index
7 15 Index / Thumb
8 16 Thumb
9 17 Thumb

Each MIBLAB set contains 10 complete sizes (0 to 9). You're sure to find your match.

Special case: wide or flat nails

If you have naturally wide nails or a flat nail plate (not very curved): choose one size up and file the sides. MIBLAB press-on nails are thin enough to adapt to your nail's curvature without creating tension.
